Core Infantry
First and foremost everyone is an infantryman, but beyond specialised roles there are core infantry roles common throughout all fireteams, squads and platoons.
Combat Leadership
Combat Leadership focuses on the front-line roles of fireteam and squad leading during direct combat. These leaders are responsible for guiding tactical units, making decisive decisions, and ensuring mission success in intense and challenging environments.
Field Leadership
Field Leadership encompasses the crucial roles of leading platoons and company combined arms operations. These leaders are responsible for guiding and coordinating units at both tactical and strategic levels, ensuring operational success.
Medical
Medical roles are support roles concerned with the triage and treatment of battlefield casualties. They may involve medical evacuation duties (MEDIVAC) and the construction of Battle Aid Stations (BAS) or Casualty Collection Points (CCP)
Anti-vehicle
Anti-vehicle roles are vital to countering enemy armour and air units, be it light or heavy, as well as bunkers and installations. These infantryman perform normal riflemen duties, and transition into their anti-vehicle role as and when required.
Marksmanship
Marksmanship is a core skill of the infantry and good marksman are key asset covering long range weapons platforms from Rifles to Snipers. They are able to accurately hit targets and group shots over long distances.
Communication
Communicators are experts in radio telephony, communicating vital transmissions across the battlefield in quick succession can often save lives, and lead to a successful mission.
Combat Support
Such roles usually act in support of the mission itself, or the front line operations via long-range support assets. Engineers provide a key tactical edge to teams encountering enemy minefields or while breaching compound walls or disposing of enemy assets or installations.
Mission Support
Not all roles are combative and some important roles require that not a single bullet is fired. Mission Support covers active roles not directly related to the friendly force, such roles could be CIVFOR, INDFOR and OPFOR supporting roles, roleplaying or Zeus activity.
Cavalry
Cavalry roles cover wheeled and tracked vehicle roles from light armoured to heavy armoured used as both fire support, infantry troop transport and supply and convoy operations.
Rotary Aircrew
Aircrews provide a vital transport and logistical boost to infantry forces, for reconnaissance, fire support, logistics and transport.
Fixed-wing Aircrew
Aircrews provide a vital transport and logistical boost to infantry forces, for reconnaissance, fire support, logistics and transport.
Administration
UNITAFs core functions are handled by the administrative staff in the Organisational Chain of Command (ORGCOC). Those staff hold a number of positions which support the decentralised functions of the Task Force.
Specialisations
Specialisations are groups of skills which can be used to augment role requirements or as secondary requirements to other roles.
Rolecard Development
Rolecards seen here are under development and this is used as a staging area before moving content to live roles.
Logistics
Logistics covers resupply, refuel, repair and transport to sustain front-line operations.
Engineering
Engineering includes EOD, breaching, obstacle creation/removal.
Fire Support
Fire Support manages indirect fires such as mortars and artillery, coordinating IDF for effect.
Unmanned Aerial Systems
UAS provides aerial ISR and strike support via remotely piloted systems.
