Their primary task is to forward secure tactical landing zones for the GCE, callsign RANGER. Second to this, HUNTER will locate 3 known AAA positions destroying them with artillery fire missions. The Ground Combat Element, callsign RANGER will insert close short of their first objective (primary) or should known or significant contact be met toward the primary TLZ, then (secondary). Insert will be conducted by ZULU in 2x CH-47 RANGER will conduct initial assaults on the Western Checkpoint, and north Eastern Vehicle Depots. As insertion is completed ZULU 5 transitions into it's Multi role, mobilising it's AH-6, while ZULU 5-1 continues to provide operational and logistics support, initially by inserting command MRAPs for CoyCo. Meanwhile, HUNTER, having completed overwatch will re-insert to the south in preparations for Phase 1 operations. Clearing a 1.2km stretch of ridgeline with firing positions into the area of operations to the north east. During Phase 2, HUNTER forces continue to overwatch RANGER as they progress the valley floor toward Phase 3, while conducting their continuous tasking along the ridge.
