--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationThe fight for the capital has begun. With the city surrounded, the hard fight to liberate it is at hand. The industrial area and suburbs are heavily fortified, so is the east bank of the river. 72nd's job is to punch thru the industrial and suburbs and clear the city center, while Sokolovi are tasked to attack from the east and cut the enemies escape back over the border.

Enemy Forces
Dug-in infantry and vehicles, primarily on strong points and defensive fortifications - but also occupying civilian housing.
Mission
TaskingPush into the industrial area of the city and clear it from the enemy.
Execution
Commander's IntentSpear platoon conducts deliberate offensive operations in order to penetrate city defences in its northeastern extremities. By establishing a foothold to the northeast, in conjunction with sister companies' operations elsewhere, the intent is to render the OPFOR incapable of conducting further offensive activities.
Tasks and Sequencing
Operations overview
Whilst sister companies initiate offensive movements to our west and south, our company is tasked with attacking the northeastern industrial areas. This task is delegated to Spear platoon with support from Anvil, whilst other platoons in the company will be in reserves.
OBJ ALPHA
Objective ALPHA consists of the most northeastern parts of the town. This area is mixed industrial and residential. Enemies are dug in, with fortified structures and defensive positions as well as trenches. Spear, with support from Anvil, will attack this objective by using deception and concealed infiltration, providing us with the element of surprise.
This objective will be completed in two sub-phases.
Phase 1-1
The first part of Phase 1 will see the first four sectors of ALPHA secured. The phase starts with Anvil drawing attention to itself to the northeast, suggesting a frontal assault and thus deceiving the OPFOR. Spear 1 will then move to and seize the most hardened sectors, being sector A1 and A4, whilst Spear 2 will clear A2 and then provide support-by-fire in order to isolate sector A4 from OPFOR reinforcements from the southwest.
Likely OPFOR avenues of approach would be through sectors A5 and A8. Vehicles are most likely to approach from A8.
Sector A1 consists of industrial buildings, of which one is fortified, as well as defensive positions facing northeast.
Sector A2 is industrial. The building fartherst southwest in this sector may provide a good position for Spear 2's task to isolate.
Sector A3 is primarily dead space.
Sector A4 is industrial, with the main structure fortified.
Phase 1-2
The second part of Phase 1 will see the remaining sectors in OBJ Alpha be secured. In order to ensure mutual support and appropriate operational distance, both squads will move through sector A5 together, where Spear 1 abnd Spear 2 coordinates the clearing process. A likely division of labour sees Spear 1 clearing the northwestern side and Spear 2 the southeastern side. Anvil supports the efforts as required.
Sector A5 is residential.
Sector A6 consists of two residences.
Sector A7 is residential.
Sector A8 consists of a bridge, and a likely OPFOR avenue of approach, but is otherwise empty.
OBJ BRAVO
Objective BRAVO consists of one vehicle depot and one ammunition storage facility, both situated in a quarry. Due to the terrain, the ridges to the northeast are considered key terrain and will likely provide good eyes into the objective. Do note that OPFOR defences to the north is not unlikely due to the proximity to the established frontlines. The objective will be completed in one phase.
Spear 1 moves to the ridge and establishes a foundational understanding of OPFOR positions and facility layouts. Once sufficient intelligence is relayed to Spear 2 and a plan has been established, Spear 2 may initiate the assault with support from Spear 1 and Anvil. Spear 1 may follow into the facility as required after the assault has been initiated by Spear 2.
Sector B1 is the quarry itself.
Sector B2 consists of support structures to the quarry.
OBJ CHARLIE
OBJ Charlie consists of urban industry and the main railroad cargo facilities. Due to the complex urban environment, it is imperative that units move and act deliberately (as opposed to hurried or thoughtless behaviour), and ensure that a united front is maintained. The objective will be completed in two sub-phases.
Ph3-1
The first part of phase 3 starts with a simultaneous attack on sectors C1 and C2 by Spear 1 and 2 respectively, with support from Anvil. Spear 1 will, with tempo, seize C1, which consists of a major defensive trench system facing northeast, before it moves to and clears sector C3 from east to west. Once it reaches and clears the fortified police station at the western limit of C3, it will establish a support-by-fire position where it is tasked with isolating sector C5 from C6 and C8. Spear 2 will first attack and clear C2, before it waits upon Spear 1 to establish said support-by-fire position.
Sector C1 is part industry, part open areas used as defensive trenches facing northeast.
Sector C2 consists of industrial warehouse facilities linked to the quarry.
Sector C3 consists primarily of industrial warehouse facilities. A police station is situated in its western corner, and is fortified.
Sector C4 is primarily open lumber storage.
Ph3-2
The second part of phase 3 secures the remaining Charlie sectors. With support from Spear 1, Spear 2 moves to and clears the trenches in sector C5, followed by a systematic clearing of structures in sector C5 and C7. Spear 1 supports Spear 2 in their movement to C5 before it eliminates any enemy resistance in sectors C6 and C8. Anvil supports the efforts by Spear, unless tasked by maintaining security along the west-east MSR.
Once sectors C7 and C8 are cleared, all units should await further orders.
Sector C5 consists of a trench system, facing northeast, as well as industrial structures associated with the quarry.
Sector C6 is industrial in nature, characterised primarily by warehouse facilities. The structure in the southwestern corner of the sector is fortified.
Sector C7 consists of industrial facilities.
Sector C8 is residential.
Areas in between sector C7 and LOA DELTA are industrial.
Areas in between sector C8 and LOA DELTA consists of a mix of industrial and residential buildings. Administration/Logistics
ResupplyA small support engineering unit named VOODOO will support Spear and Anvil. Note that they will prioritise vehicle repair and rearming operations. Spear should therefore call up any logistical needs to Spear 8 early to ensure timely provision of fresh equipment.
