Situation
Background InformationFRAGO: 2nd Plt(-) was sent on a patrol to southern island in response to our last mission. 1 hour ago troops were reported in contact, as of 10 minutes ago they are requesting QRF. 1st Platoon, its your job to get those Marines back here ASAP. Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this operation is to identify and retrieve two BLUFOR squads from within enemy lines. An allied platoon is engaging forces from the north to inhibit reinforcement capabilities, and fire support has been tasked to assist with objective isolation.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: Preparation - ALL CALLSIGNS ensure adequate supplies on person to sustain operations for the duration of this mission. -- Any additional support required for adequate load bearing is to be communicated to BAKER 1. - BAKER 1 will carry mining equipment for the Combat Engineer. - SUAV Operator will assist with carrying medical supplies. - For HALO insertion, ALL CALLSIGNS are outfitted with: -- Parachutes -- Altimeter Watches
- Post-brief, ALL CALLSIGNS rally on airstrip for air insertion.
PHASE 1: INFIL
- ALL CALLSIGNS depart for LZ Primary.
-- LZ Alternate & LZ Contingency will be utilized should LZ Primary be occupied.
- ALL CALLSIGNS insert via HALO:
-- Jump Height: 5000M+
-- Opening Height: 200M
- ALL CALLSIGNS assemble at RP-D for maneuver.
-- weapons orange, delaying enemy reinforcement movement is critical.
- SUAV Operator identifies contact and searches for BLUFOR forces.
PHASE 2: Objective Isolation
- ALL CALLSIGNS proceed to RP-E via RP-D, maintaining concealment for as long as possible.
- BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 establish support by fire on BOF-B.
-- BAKER 1 & Combat Engineer emplace mining equipment to deny QRF according to Scheme of Engineer Operations.
- SUAV Operator identifies contact and searches for BLUFOR forces.
PHASE 3: Southern POW Rescue
- Utilizing established BOF and nearby concealment, ALL CALLSIGNS breach compound from N flank.
-- Combat Engineer utilizes wire cutters and demolitions to secure breach as required.
- ALL CALLSIGNS search for BLUFOR forces and eliminate OPFOR resistance.
- SUAV Operator watches for North & East QRF to activate fire support as required.
PHASE 4: Northern POW Rescue
- ALL CALLSIGNS stage at RP-G via RP-F, utilizing fire support and nearby concealment.
- ALL CALLSIGNS coordinate sector searches for BLUFOR, acting on intelligence gathered by SUAV Operator.
-- to better navigate extremely an dense CQB environment, buildings will only be cleared as required by intel or threat to life.
-- SUAV Operator watches for North & East QRF to activate fire support as required.
Note: timely effects on objective will be critical to avoiding overwhelming QRF.
PHASE 5: EXFIL
- Upon rescue of all BLUFOR forces, ALL CALLSIGNS break contact towards Exfil Primary
-- Exfil Alternate & Exfil Contingency will be utilized should Exfil Primary be untenable.
- ALL CALLSIGNS mount exfil naval or air exfil vehicle and transport recovered BLUFOR back to friendly facilities.
Debrief location will be assessed alongside mission runtime.
Scheme of Engineer Operations
- A killbox will be prepared to deny QRF from our eastern flank for an extended period of time:
-- M15 AT Mines should be utilized for heavy vehicles
-- SLAM Mines should be utilized for light vehicles
-- An anti-personnel capability should be included, supplies available at the engineers request
- Demolitions should be placed with enough distance to avoid sympathetic detonation.
- In addition to killbox preparation, Combat Engineer should also be prepared with:
-- Wire cutters
-- 2+ Demolition charges for explosive breaching
- To expand mining capabilities, BAKER 1 will carry:
-- 3x M15 AT Mines
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyResupply will be unavailable for the duration of this operation. All supplies required to sustain operations for the duration of this mission must be carried on person. - BAKER 1 will assist with carrying mining for the Combat Engineer. - SUAV Operator will assist with carrying medical supplies. - BAKER 1-1's ammo bearer should be primarily dedicated to carrying MAT ammunition. - BAKER 1-3's ammo bearer will be dedicated solely to M240B ammunition. - Team Leaders will be provided backpacks to carry STANAG for their respective teams. - Note: Additional carrying capacity will be made available as requested by Team Leaders.

- Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field)

- Allied fire support is on standby to assist with QRF denial. Low ammunition reserves limit fires to 10 minutes of sustainment.
