Situation
Background Information
Elements of US Army are currently station at Fire Support Base Quan Loi, a riverside outpost upriver from the Mekong Delta. 9th Infantry division elements here have been tasked with intercepting VC supply lines into the Mekong Delta. US Navy have reported limited but effective fire from the Eastern Delta bracketing supply vessels inbound to Saigon and Pleiku and until further notice are unable to safely conduct logistic operations. Reports suggest that the VC have 1 dispersed battery of 3 guns actively conducting operations but suspect more may be stashed or being unloaded in the area. Until this battery is destroyed there will be no Air Support from Pleiku Airbase due to the supply issues.
