--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information
The enemy's airfield almost within our grasp, only a few kilometers left to shut down the enemy's air operation in the area. With so much to lose, air defence teams have been centralised in the area to shut down any aircraft in the area. The entire Battalion is relying on the destruction of the enemy air to complete the mission. Expected Level of Combat :☆☆ Expected Level of RP: ☆ Expected Difficulty: ☆☆ Three-star rating: ☆ little to none expected ☆☆ decent amount expected ☆☆☆ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation

Friendly Forces
SIERRA elements will be using ZU-23-2 mounted on GAZ trucks GUARDIAN element will be using 9K38 Igla with Djigit system, mounted on GAZ trucks All vehicles will contain 9K38 Igla MANPAD Launchers for dismounted operation as an alternate to the mounted systems. XRAY UAV Operator is assigned control of an AN/MPQ-105 Radar system for target detection and recognition. The system can be moved by a HEMTT vehicle. GROUNDHOG 4 will be in direct support of XRAY Section, providing ammunition depot and field repairs.

Supporting Assets
Friendly infantry and mechanised forces will be conducting assault across the frontline. Targeted attacks using our own air assets will be executed during the attack, friendly air will be present in the AO. Multiple CCP and LRP have been established in the AO to assist with casualty treatment and providing supplies.

Enemy Forces
Russian Infantry and Airborne units are engaged in the fighting of the frontline. VDV units have been concentrating in the area in response to our push to the airfield. Expect a high number of enemy helicopters with possible air support. The enemy has proved efficient with their use of indirect fire, we have not been able to provide effective counter-battery fire. They are likely to target XRAY if we remaining too static when engaging the enemy.

Mission

Tasking
Provide air defense to frontline troops advancing to the airfield.

End-state
All elements are to continue fighting any air threat at all times. Retreat will only be authorised by Battalion orders.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The intent for this mission is to ensure that no enemy air threats get through.

Tasks and Sequencing
ALL CALLSIGNS will move between POS 1-5 to ensure the enemy does not Zero our location. Once in position, SIERRA 1-1 & SIERRA 1-2 will set up forward of GUARDIAN 1-3 with XRAY behind to ensure protection of the main radar. Upon discovery by enemy forces, ALL CALLSIGNS will then rotate to the next position and set up a new position laid out as above.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Resupply and LOGPAKs will be coordinated through XRAY and delivered by GROUND by GROUNDHOG 4 .
