Situation

Background Information
Following the intel gathered from the Zelenogorsk raid, TF Keith has been directed to establish road checkpoints in collaboration with the CDF. BAKER is tasked with constructing and operating a road checkpoint on the NW regional road north of Lopatino. Supplies will be pre-staged at the nearby CDF airfield for use at the unit command's discretion. The objective of the checkpoints is to identify the source of the military-grade weapons and UAVs in ChDKZ posession and, if possible, apprehend known ChDKZ smugglers. --- Expected Level of Combat : ☆ Expected Level of RP: ☆☆☆ Expected Difficulty: ☆☆ Three-star rating: ☆ little to none expected ☆☆ decent amount expected ☆☆☆ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation

- TF Keith is within range for fire and logistical support. - CDF and Police are cooperating with operation but not directly supporting.

Enemy Forces
- ChDKZ insurgents in the area is known to use mainly infantry equipped with soviet equipment, though recent intel has shown modern equipment, drones, and possibly a DShK technical and "something stronger" at their disposal. - No direct contact is expected, but cannot be ruled out.

Mission

Tasking
BAKER is tasked with establishing and operating a road checkpoint between WP-Dallas and WP-Houston - exact location at unit leadership discretion - in order to screen incoming and outgoing vehicles for persons of interest or military supplies connected to ChDKZ.

End-state
-BAKER will be relieved once checkpoint is established and has been deemed operational. Relief forces expected to take at least 1 hour to arrive from operational call. Upon relief, BAKER will exfil to JB Keith via LZ Wyoming. -If checkpoint is impractical or comes under major assault, BAKER will secure an LZ and request exfil. If unable to hold checkpoint location, BAKER will conduct a fighting retreat to a suitable LZ and request exfil.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to identify and apprehend smugglers trafficking arms into ChDKZ ranks via a checkpoint positioned on a major northern road inlet.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: Preparation - ALL CALLSIGNS brief mission OPORD and boxloader construction controls. - BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 assemble a plan and layout with their fireteams for the assigned checkpoint areas: -- BAKER 1-1: Plot-A -- BAKER 1-2: Plot-B - BAKER 1 assembles CCP layout with Squad HQ. - Post-brief, ALL CALLSIGNS move to RP-A for helicopter insertion into AO. PHASE 1: POI Investigation - Upon landing at LZ-Wyoming, ALL CALLSIGNS organize transport in four staged vehicles: -- 2x HEMTT w/ construction supplies -- 1x MTVR -- 1x M115A1 Humvee - ALL CALLSIGNS move to DM-A via RP-C & RP-D. - BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 conduct an investigation surrounding the marked POI. -- Although the nature of this site is unknown, previously gathered intel suggests a connection to local weapons trafficking. - Post-area reconniasance, ALL CALLSIGNS remount and move to Checkpoint Houston. PHASE 3: Checkpoint Construction - ALL CALLSIGNS stage vehicles at DM-B. - Teams alternate operating hasty checkpoint and assembling their planned posts: -- BAKER 1-1 operates checkpoint while BAKER 1-2 assembles overwatch post. -- BAKER 1-2 operates checkpoint while BAKER 1-1 assembles forward post. -- BAKER 1 assembles CCP and supporting structures. PHASE 4: Checkpoint - ALL CALLSIGNS operate completed checkpoint, thoroughly searching northern traffic for connections to weapon trafficking. - Plan of escalation: -- Military presence -- Verbal commands -- Visual signals (weapon aiming) -- Warning shot -- Vehicle disabling force - Note: lethal force will only be used in the instances of: -- Assault on BLUFOR personnel -- An attempt to flee once positively connected with weapons trafficking - Following checkpoint shift completion, ALL CALLSIGNS regroup for ENDEX at CDF airfield.

- Resupply will be available through CROSSROAD H as coordinated by BAKER 1.

- Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field on)
