Situation

Background Information
Time to take the fight back into the city and secure the northern sectors up to the river. Situation Background Information Counter insurgency in the Northern remote regions around Mandol from one of the distant patrol bases in the hills. Enemy Forces
Standard insurgency in line with previous fulcrum ops. Unconventional tactics, use of civilians as protection, Ieds VBIEDs and other explosive methods of destruction. As they know we're coming now. Heavy ordinance to be expected, after our incursion to the embassy the Taliban have brought in armour overnight. Bringing it in under the cover of AA to help hold their gains in the city.

Tasking
Secure a foothold in the northern regions and push the Taliban back to the riverfront.

End-state
In control of the northern sectors with potential incursions to the south of the river.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The intent for this mission is to push the enemy back, destroying there defences and denying them a view over our base.

Tasks and Sequencing
Starting at Candaldari Airbase, GALE Will move via GEORGE 4 to DP Alpha. Once at DP Alpha GALE will dismount. At this point, VICTOR will move into position to cover the infantry advance. GALE 1 will head into Sector 1a, at the same time, GALE 2 will move into Sector 1b. From this point forwards, GALE 1 & GALE 2 will simultaneously clear sectors, while communicating and ensuring mutual support at all times. Once northern Candaldari is clear, depending on time, ALL CALLSIGNS will move to clear the north eastern side of the city. Jolly will be on call to deal with any EOD matters, please ensure you call any suspicious devices out.
