--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationPHOENIX Recon Platoon is following the steps of RANGER Platoon in their push through the forest. The town of Georgievskoe is now cut off from any supply line, the enemy is likely aware of their situation and will be organising a last effort push or laying arms down. Expected Level of Combat : ☆☆ Expected Level of RP: ☆☆ Expected Difficulty: ☆☆ Three-star rating: ☆ little to none expected ☆☆ decent amount expected ☆☆☆ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation
Friendly Forces
Recent casualties and the need for CPERS management has reduced the available personnel. PHOENIX Recon Platoon has been reorganised into a reinforced squad to conduct the operation.
Supporting Assets
The reserve element of PHOENIX will be following the squad for collection of CPERS or support a retreat. LONGBOW Mortar Section is in support of King Coy, they may be called for fire support. RANGER Marine Infantry Platoon will continue operations south of our AO
Enemy Forces
Enemy is composed of Infantry with Mechanized support (BTR and BMP). Enemy air is not expected with friendly air cover surrounding the area. Likely presence of enemy camps and strong-points scattered in the woodlands. The enemy has sustained considerable losses in vehicles following the capture of the Zuevo Prison; the presence of armored vehicles is expected to be low. Due to enemy situation, there is a high chance of encountering surrendered combatants on approach or during contact.
Mission
TaskingFind and clear camps encountered on approach to village of Georgievskoe. Assess the enemy situation in the village, proceeding with an approach to negotiate their surrender, or stage an assault to destroy any capabilities.
End-state
Town of Georgievskoe secured and cleared of any willing combatants
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent of the mission is to sweep the forest path on-route to Georgievskoe for hostile combatants, then eliminating or capturing any remaining personnel in the town (Sectors Hotel 1, Hotel 2 & Hotel 3) before sweeping along designated waypoints North of the town to clear the surrounding forest before exfiltrating back across blue lines in the direction of RP-0. End state is the successful capture of Georgievskoe and clearing of its surroundings.
Tasks and Sequencing
ATTENTION There is a high likelihood of enemy surrender due to their isolated position, limit the use of lethal explosives during all phases of the operation and prioritize capture of enemy combatants. A PHOENIX reserve element will be trailing behind friendly combat elements in the area of operations to conduct evacuation of CPERS throughout the mission. PHASE 0 ALL PHOENIX CALLSIGNS must ensure a mission-length loadout, as logistical support in-field will not be available, and prepare for briefing. PHASE 1 PHOENIX 1 will insert by foot along with PHOENIX 1-1 and PHOENIX 1-2 ALL PHOENIX CALLSIGNS will proceed along designated APHA waypoints to the AP (Assault Position). In the event of contact/sighting with hostile strongpoint, or general contact/sighting along the route to Georgievskoe, elements will be dispatched to destroy the hostile position at the Squad Leader's discretion. PHASE 2 From the AP, ALL PHOENIX CALLSIGNS will step off into Georgievskoe to clear the town by sector, beginning with HOTEL 1, using alternating bounding maneuvers. After the town has been secured, all CPERS must be relocated to sector HOTEL 3 for evacuation before executing Phase 3. PHASE 3 Following the successful capture of Georgievskoe, all elements will proceed along waypoints WP-A3 through WP-A6, then ENDEX at RP-0. Additionally, if objectives can be accomplished within allotted time, all elements may be expected to break off from WP-A5 and follow along WP-B1 through WP-B5 for further sweep and clear tasking before RTB for ENDEX.
