Situation

Background Information
Marines, We just got word that our brothers from 1st Platoon found intel on a Warlord that is heading to the north to meet with the russians on securing new assets to support their fight. So, its our turn boys, everyone needs recon Marines and we are here to prove that. We have a NO FAIL mission to kill the Warlord HVT while attempting to not harm the Russians in the AO. Due to the russians in the AO, we are expecting them to be armed with modern gear so we need to be locked on when it comes to basic infantryman skills gents.

Friendly Forces
FN. we are being tasked out to move quick and fast so we are getting 1x Combat Eng and UAS support.

Supporting Assets
We will have local CAS in support but we are 3rd in the POF so do not expect it.

Mission

Tasking
Secure the HVT alive or dead, without interfering with the Russia troops in the AO.

End-state
The EN HVT is secured or incapacitated with no Russia troop interference.


Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this operation is to kill a warlord leader who has arranged a meeting with russian forces to obtain military equipment to support their inland operations. Note: the warlord leader must be eliminated at all costs.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: Preparation - ALL CALLSIGNS ensure adequate supplies on person to sustain operations for the duration of this mission. -- Any additional support required for adequate load bearing is to be communicated to BAKER 1. - ALL CALLSIGNS are outfitted with: -- Nightvision -- Suppressors (as applicable) -- Android GPS for Team Leaders - Alongside enemy NV capabilities, ALL CALLSIGNS will remove IR lasers and lights from weapons. - BAKER 1 will carry mining equipment and ammo for the Machinegunner. - SUAV Operator will assist with carrying medical supplies. Post-brief, ALL CALLSIGNS rally on NE coastline for naval insertion. PHASE 1: INFIL - ALL CALLSIGNS depart for marked dismount locations. -- LZ Primary offers expedient movement towards BOF location if no hostile forces are present. -- LZ Alternate also offers expedient movement towards BOF location, although with less concealment. -- LZ Contingency will be utilized in last resort. Note: weapons red, maintaining element of surpise is critical. PHASE 2: Movement to BOF - ALL CALLSIGNS proceed to RP-B via RP-A, maintaining concealment at all costs. Note: maintaining element of surpise is critical. PHASE 3a: BOF Emplacement - ALL CALLSIGNS establish security on 1-3 BOF mark. -- BAKER 1-3 emplaces Machinegunner & Marksman to establish BOF on AO. - When BOF is emplaced: -- Squad Medic selects a CCP location nearby BAKER 1-3 and digs in. -- Combat Engineer emplaces Claymores covering Baker 1-3 and CCP flanks. -- SUAV Operator scouts and marks objective recon on map. Note: maintaining element of surpise is critical. PHASE 3b: Flanking Element - With BOF emplaced, BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 proceed to ambush sectors -- RP-D is reached via defilade along RP-C, maintaining concealment at all costs. - BAKER 1-1 assumes a western position, maintaining concealment. - BAKER 1-2 assumes an eastern position, maintaining concealment. Note: maintaining element of surpise is critical. PHASE 4: Killbox Preparation - With L-shaped element in place Combat Engineer prepares to kill box: -- Establishes LOA as briefed. -- Establishes Initiating charges as briefed. -- Prepares security charges as time permits. -BAKER 1-1 prepares AT to engage rear vehicle of convoy -- Secondary target: vehicles escaping down southern road. Note: maintaining element of surpise is critical. PHASE 5: Ambush Initiation - Combat Engineer initates ambush with charges lining kill box. -- ALL CALLSIGNS engage only when initiating charges or LOA charges are detonated. - Upon initiation, ALL CALLSIGNS engage with maximum available firepower. Actions on a compromised ambush: return fire and begin manuevers towards HVT location. PHASE 6: EXFIL - Upon HVT elimination, ALL CALLSIGNS break contact towards 1-3 BOF -- BAKER 1-3 maintains weapons on objective to support manuevers. - ALL CALLSIGNS utilize alternating bounding until EXFIL mark is reached. -- Friendly forces meet BAKER 1 at EXFIL locaiton with rhibs. Debrief location will be assessed alongside mission runtime.


Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Resupply will be unavailable for the duration of this operation. All supplies required to sustain operations for the duration of this mission must be carried on person. - BAKER 1 will carry mining equipment and ammo for the Machinegunner. - SUAV Operator will assist with carrying medical supplies. - BAKER 1-3's ammo bearer will be dedicated solely to M240B ammunition. - Team Leaders will be provided backpacks to carry STANAG for their respective teams. - Note: Additional carrying capacity will be made available as requested by Team Leaders.
