Situation

Background Information
With the Suidorra Region now pacified and the government aware of the mounting threat of Molatian-backed paramilitaries, Trident has been tasked with delivering an intelligence brief to the Afrene Intelligence office in Numbo, whilst conducting a combat patrol through the capital of Afrene (Kinsella) and Numbo, one of the major towns in the region,. Thanks to our successes in gathering intel and dismantling paramilitary positions so far, we are aware of some level of collaboration between Molatian-backed paramilitaries and the Astra Research Corp. We have retrieved samples of some form of prototype chemical weapon intended for use on civilians, and NATO High Command are keeping a close eye on further developments. We also located several weapons caches and propaganda/recruitment centres in local settlements. We will need to be on the look-out for further such positions and dismantle them where possible, attempting to arrest any Molatian agents. Our third day in Afrene will be about hearts and minds- at least on the outside.

ORBAT NOTES: - EODs will be given EOD Notebooks for Advanced UXO usage. - WarCo (War Correspondant) tentative role for a streamer to "RP" as a WarCo about the fighting in the region, moving between elements, message FL if interested.

Supporting Assets
Further to the overarching objectives in Isla Duala, avoid contact with Molatian military forces outright- a war between Afrene and Molatia is undesirable. Expect civilian presence in Afrene urban areas and conduct yourselves accordingly when in sight of civilians.

Enemy Forces
Molatian-sympathising elements and paramilitaries have been attempting to set up propaganda centres in urban areas within Afrene. Expect any you find to be defended by insurgent fighters. Capture where possible, eliminate where necessary.

Tasking
Primary Tasking:

1. Conduct Combat Patrol to town of Numbo
2. Deliver Intelligence Brief to RACS Mil-Int Office in Numbo

Secondary Tasking:

1. Search for Propaganda centres
2. Search for any information on suspected chemical weapons development
3. Improve the public image of NATO forces in Afrene

Execution

Tasks and Sequencing

1. Starting at FOB Lion, the primary Infantry Platoon will move via Convoy to DZ-ALPHA
2. BISHOP (ALPHA) and ROOK (BRAVO) will conduct a presence patrol in PHASE 1
3. ROOK (BRAVO) will cover BISHOP (ALPHA) advance in PHASE 2
4. BISHOP (ALPHA) will cover ROOK (BRAVO) advance in PHASE 3
5. BISHOP (ALPHA) and ROOK (BRAVO) will conduct further presence patrols in NUMBO during PHASE 4, while KING meets at the MIL-Int Office.

Should all primary objectives be met, the operation will be considered a success.
