Situation

Background Information
Since the military coup of Everon and subsequent support and influx of Soviet troops, Everonian Patriots of the Everon Defence League have decided to seize their opportunity and strike back at the martial law-enforcing troops destroying their piece of paradise. The recent US troop landings and subsequent advances have redirected the flow of Everonian military support, revealing weak links in their logistics and defence chains. EDL South Rgt. will dispatch a lead party of their most capable fighters- made up of former Everon National Guard and Maldenian Special Forces- into the heart of Everon to strike the military border town of Entre-Deux and the adjoined radio tower.

Friendly Forces
1x 'Undercover special forces black operations SEAL(ion) group' of Everon Defence League.

Supporting Assets
NATO forces have been attacking the southern peninsula of Everon. Their patrols and assault teams are expected to be moving around their territory and attacking Soviet-backed Everon National Guard positions. We have no formal diplomatic contact with the US forces stationed on the island. We are not certain of their intentions so avoid them for now, until we can establish their plans with Everon. We will NOT trade one invader for another. We will, however, do our best to weaken Everon National Guard positions, which will in turn allow the American Tourists to gain some traction, in the certainty that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Enemy Forces
Soviet-backed Everon National Guard, now well-equipped with Soviet equipment and extra troops.

Mission

Tasking
An Everon National Guard/ ENG supply route has been scouted by our advance scouting parties. It appears a weak point of the convoy chain is experienced during the crossing of the town Entre-Deux. EDL Rgt Cmdr Dave Paul has determined that we require the supplies and weapon systems being moved by a particular convoy expected tonight. Draw up a plan and take the supplies for our cause. You have been provided a cover story in the form of fishing- the nearby ENG military base allows permits for local fishermen to enter the fishing zone within their territory. We will use this cover to approach, then pick up a drop of weapons for our mission. Primary Tasking -Insert under cover of civilian fishing activity. -Secure and steal the convoy, returning it to a designated friendly safe position WITHOUT BEING TRACKED. -Disable the radio tower in proximity to Entre-Deux. -Do not allow the convoy supplies to escape our grasp. -Do not allow the enemy to track you to the designated drop-off zone. -Do not allow the enemy to reinforce Entre-Deux before you break contact. -Strike fear into the enemy wherever possible. Survivors tell stories.

End-state
Convoy supplies/ arms stolen and left at safe drop-off zone without enemy tracking. EDL forces RTB.

Execution

Commander's Intent
THE PURPOSE OF OUR MISSION TONIGHT IS TO STRIKE FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF THE SOVIET INVADERS, REQUISITION THEIR SUPPLIES FOR OUR OWN AND THRUST A DAGGER INTO ONE OF THE MAIN ARTERIES OF THEIR WRETCHED LOGISTICAL LINES, HAMPERING THEIR EFFORTS AGAINST OUR AMERICAN TOURISTS.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: STAGING ALL CALLSIGNS PREPARE AT THE ASSEMBLY AREA AT SKUA POINT. OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE EDL HAVE KINDLY LEFT OUR WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT IN THE FIELD READY FOR US TO GRAB ONCE WE ARRIVE. PHASE 1: TYRONE BAY ALL CALLSIGNS WILL MOUNT FISHING BOATS AFTER BRIEFING AND HEAD NORTH TO TYRONE BAY. WE HAVE FISHING PERMITS TO ENTER THE BAY, HOWEVER SOVIETS MAY HARRASS US ONROUTE. REMAIN CALM AND COLLECTED AND OFFER BRIBES IF NEED BE, WE HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS ENTERING THE BAY BEFORE, LET US NOT START TONIGHT. WE WILL INSERT AT THE BASE OF A RAVINE CALLED THE RUSHES, WHERE WE WILL LEAVE THE FISHING BOATS AND MAKE OUR WAY UP THE RAVINE. BE WARY THAT THE NE BEACHHEAD IS BEING USED AS A SOVIET MORTAR TRAINING AREA, THOUGH IT IS UNLIKELY THEY WILL BE TRAINING IN THE EVENING, MOVEMENT IN THE AREA AND ALONG THE COASTAL ROAD MAY BE LIKELY. WE WILL GATHER AT A SAFEHOUSE AT THE PEAK OF THE HILL NEAR ALUETTE POND. PHASE 2: ENTRE-DEUX ONCE ALL CALLSIGNS ARE GREEN FOR GREEN, WE WILL MAKE OUR WAY SOUTH TOWARDS THE MILITARY BORDER TOWN OF ENTRE-DEUX. STINGRAY WILL TEMPORARILY SEVER SOVIET COMMUNICATIONS BY TURNING OFF THE POWER TO THE RADIO TOWER BEFORE ESTABLISHING A RECON POSITION ATOP A RADIO TOWER TO THE NORTH OF TOWN, WHERE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GET A CLEAR EYE OF THE ROADS LEADING IN AND OUT OF TOWN, AS WELL AS SEVERAL KNOWN SOVIET POSTINGS. SEALION WILL STANDBY IN THE WOODS OF POACHER'S HILL WHERE THEY WILL AWAIT STINGRAY'S GO CALL. UPON THIS CALL, SEALION WILL STRIKE THE GARRISON AREA OUTSIDE OF ENTRE-DEUX BEFORE SWEEPING FOR FURTHER CONTACT AND TAKING CONTROL OF THE CP'S. ONCE THE TOWN IS TEMPORARILY UNDER EDL CONTROL, ALL CALLSIGNS WILL AWAIT THE EVENING SUPPLY CHAIN KNOWN TO COME THROUGH ENTRE-DEUX ON THE WAY TO THE FOB TO THE EAST. STINGRAY WILL MONITOR FOR MOVEMENT AND CALL THIS IN ONCE SPOTTED. UPON VISUAL CONTACT, SEALION WILL ESTABLISH AN AMBUSH. ONCE THE CONVOY HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY HALTED AND ALL CONTACT NEUTRALIZED, MEMBERS OF SEALION WILL TAKE THE SUPPLY TRUCK AND RETREAT TO ONE OF THE MARKED SUPPLY STASHES. REMAINING CALLSIGNS WILL BREAK CONTACT AND RETREAT NORTH. SEALION 1'S COMBAT ENGINEER WILL PLACE EXPLOSIVES IN THE RADIO TOWER'S CONTROL ROOM TO FULLY SEVER COMMS IN THE REGION. IN CASE OF SEPARATION, TEAMLEADERS ARE TO GATHER THEIR RESPECTIVE ELEMENTS AND CONTINUE TO BREAK CONTACT, FINDING A SUITABLE PLACE TO SHELTER IN PLACE IN CASE OF HEAVY SOVIET PRESENCE PREVENTING FURTHER MOVEMENT. SOVIET QRF FORCES ARE EXPECTED FROM THE EASTERN BASES. THESE FORCES WILL COME IN FORCE TO SECURE THE BORDER TOWN, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE BREAK CONTACT WITH THESE FORCES AND DO NOT LEAD THEM BACK TO THE SAFEHOUSE OR ALUETTE POND. ONCE ALL CALLSIGNS ARE MISSION COMPLETE, REGROUP AT THE SAFEHOUSE. FAILING THIS, ALL CALLSIGNS WILL REGROUP IN THE VALLEY AT ALUETTE POND.
