Situation
Background Information
A royal marine commando detachment is tasked with conducting heavy fire-support observation in attempt to both relieve an encircled friendly platoon and disrupt enemy advances on the mainland...
Friendly Forces
ROOK callsign consisting of: 3x SF teams INDIA callsign consisting of 1x Fire Support Chief 4x Field Artillery Cannoneer equipped with 4x Howitzers
Supporting Assets
Trident mounted and loaded, standing by for retreat from Airbase Boriana.
Enemy Forces
PLA Special Forces holding Kluze Fortress. Motorized rebel forces expected in the valley itself. Rebel QRFs expected from the north, PLA QRFs from the south.
Mission
TaskingLiberate Kluze Fortress to allow Trident's retreat. Once completed, progress further East and disable AA systems and artillery sites set up by the rebels in the mountainside. Exfil northwest via any means.
End-state
Mission Success: Trident successfully retreated, enemy AA and Artillery disabled. Mission Failure: Trident trapped and overran.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe primary objective of our missions is to disrupt and destroy enemy assets in the center of the mainland in order to allow Trident platoon to withdraw to friendly lines.
Tasks and Sequencing
ROOK will conduct a foot patrol following assigned Observation Points ("OPs") in order to conduct forward observation of indirect artillery fire. Additionally, ROOK will conduct assaults on discovered enemy positions as required, including a potential convoy ambush.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyThere is no resupply available during this operation. ROOK should ensure they bring as many supplies as they can.
Medical
There is no additional medical support available during this operation. SF Medics should ensure they have enough supplies for their team and squad, along with potential body-bags to avoid any friendly POWs.
Rules of Engagement
We do not have the facilities to accommodate CPERS during this operation. Appropriate SOP to be followed.
Fire Support Plan
INDIA 4 is to provide fire support via ROOK 8 as required.
