Situation

Background Information
YFF forces have been holding their position for a while but are unable to make any progress. Archer platoon is tasked with clearing out Zarath; this valley will ease pressure on their frontline up north by cutting off the main supply route from Kalaenoowi and spreading the IS frontline thinner.

Supporting Assets
YFF is fighting in the hills, don't expect any support from them however. USAF at Kinduf airbase can be called up to prevent mission failure.

Standard insurgent forces consisting off PATROL CAMPS in hilly terrain, STATICS, (V)IEDs, OFFROAD TECHNICALS, small number of APCs/IFVs.

Tasking
- Aid civilians by delivering supplies. - Neutralise hostile forces in Zarath. (secondary) -Destroy caves exits.

End-state
After gaining control of Zarath, endex in the field.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Simply, the intent of this operation is to provide support/ relief to the YNA frontline whilst securing an important valley in the run-up to KalaeNoowi and providing some humanitarian relief to local civpop.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1 Archer platoon will proceed from our staging area mounted up via the marked route to Dismount Cheddar (primary) or Brie (secondary) if we reach contact before primary. From dismount, infantry will proceed to their designated civilian area- Archer 1 to Civ A and Archer 2 to Civ B. Humanitarian aid to be provided and we will touch base with the civpop to see if there's any intel or requirements they have. Phase 2 Phase 2 will consist of the beginning of valley clearance- using marked sectors and assigning them on an as-needed basis, with the general layout of Archer 1 left flank of approach/ South and West, and Archer 2 on the right flank/ North and East. Phase 3 For the final planned phase we will continue our movement N/W through the valley, acting upon any targets of opportunity in the hills West/ East of the valley as well as at the N/W end. Multiple strongholds and cave entrances have been spotted by recon/ intel and will need to be checked and cleared if hostile.
