--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background Information
In an effort to locate the survivors and cargo from the crashed C-130, we have encountered severe resistance from the local actors in the scope of Somali insurgents and local Bantu rebels that are locked in conflict against the Kenyan Defense Forces. After hunkering down in the jungles just north east of the abandoned airstrip on RV Paris, we have had an airdropped resupply paired with Harriers executing precision strikes to the east of our position in an effort to drive the Somali forces into chaos and disarray. However, with adverse weather approaching fast, the helicopters that are recovering the last of the located cargo to your west are the last birds we'll have on station for the time being. Locate the survivors, secure the area and EXFIL by any means necessary.
Friendly Forces
The platoon in the field has not been reinforced by any new combat or support personnel, and the only assistance they have received since last night is the airdropped resupply with the Chinooks leaving the AO as we speak due to adverse weather approaching fast.
Supporting Assets
The only other support we have is the forward detachments of the Kenyan Defense Forces located far west, roughly 15 km away from our current position. You should not count on them for any combat or logistical support at this time.
Enemy Forces
With the attention we gathered throughout the night, and the damage dealt by CAS during the early morning hours to the far east of our position, it is safe to say that the local Somali pirates and rebel fighters are mobilizing en masse to start combing through the area in an effort to locate and either kill or capture the QRF members.
Mission
TaskingAs such, it is imperative we get a move on and start destroying vital infrastructure and move onwards with locating the missing aircrew, making sure to drive the enemy into as much disarray as possible, so that the Kenyan Defense Forces can hopefully recapture and hold the sectors within the Kenyan-Somali border region.
End-state
Once you have located the aircrew, you will either hold out until weather clears up for an airlift out of the AO or try getting into contact with the Kenyan Defense Forces to relieve you on your current position.
