Situation

Background Information
The valley is mostly secure. Small pockets of ISIS remain in the mountains east of clover airfield. They occasionally complete probing attacks but seem to have little power to counter us. A BAF squad is tasked with clearing out the mountains before the force gets re tasked elsewhere.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to sweep away the last vestiges of armed insurgency in Uzbin valley. Success will mark the end of hostilities in the area

Tasks and Sequencing
The scheme of maneouvre will begin with Alpha squad being transported to the vicinity of Ghorak. They will then patrol on foot into Ghorak to secure it from enemies and allow Golf to set up a mortar position. From there Alpha squad will proceed to investigate several reported points of interest further East, with fire support from Golf being coordinated through the FO. It is expected that Alpha squad will follow a basic cycle of -advance to contact -neutralise contact -regroup and prepare to move off
