FM/BS-893.V1.03 - Transmit a 9-line CAS request
As a FAC, transmit a 9-line CAS request for fixed-wing aircraft in the following format:
(1) IP [name of IP]
(2) Heading [heading from the IP to the target]
(3) Distance [distance from the IP to the target in kilometers]
(4) Elevation [elevation of the target, as meters above sea level]
(5) [brief description of the target]
(6) FM/BS-894 - Transmit a location during a CAS request
(7) Marked with FM/BS-895 - Transmit a mark during a CAS request
(8) Friendlies [cardinal direction from the target to nearest friendlies] [distance from the target to nearest friendlies in meters]
(9) Egress [cardinal direction to egress back to the IP]
Advise when ready for remarks / No remarks
- Line numbers are not spoken
- Lines 1-2-3 are replaced with “from the overhead” for orbiting aircraft
