The player is able to demonstrate sound prioritisation skills with regards to which wounds to prioritise when treating a casualty. This includes the decision-making associated with the usage of tourniquets versus bandaging the limbs, and the prioritisation of crucial body parts versus the limbs.
The most common prioritisation a medic will do is to apply tourniquets to any and all wounded limbs and then prioritise closing wounds on the torso and head, and this is the procedure all medical personnel are expected to abide to in almost all cases. The only time this will not be the case is when there are more than one person bandaging the casualty, the casualty requires urgent blood transfusions, blood transfusions are (or would be) made impossible due to tourniquets, and FAST-IOs are not available. In this particular case, one medic may bandage a limb instead of applying tourniquets so that blood transfusions can be provided quickly.
