Thank you to everyone who engaged with the Summer Selection, firstly, apologies that it has taken longer than it should have to conclude this selection.
There is obviously a slightly unusual backdrop to these results following the publication of UNITAF: Rebuilding Momentum. For now, however, the structure we have is still the structure responsible for running UNITAF. The appointments made through previous selections also continue to matter until we replace them with something else.
For that reason, we are completing the Summer Selection and filling the gaps that exist today. I do not think it makes sense to leave areas without leadership for the next few weeks simply because the name or shape of those responsibilities may shortly change.
Some of the appointments below will therefore evolve as the reset is implemented. In particular, I have discussed that directly with those taking on new officer responsibilities. The responsibility they are taking on will remain important and, when the strategy is adopted, I expect them to have more authority to lead their areas and make decisions, even if the structure or title around them changes.
The principle for the immediate period is fairly simple: leave no gaps, keep UNITAF moving.

Thank you to SPC Vyqe for the work put into establishing and supporting the CSU. Vyqe is welcome to continue contributing to the area without holding the formal position if he wishes.
Cpl Argo now takes responsibility for the group.
There are quite a few names above, but I do not want the actual people involved to get lost amongst a discussion about structures. Thank you to everyone continuing in post, many of whom have been carrying these areas for a long time. That continuity is important, particularly while we work through a period of fairly substantial change.
Thank you to everyone taking on something new, particularly 2Lt Mr.47, 2Lt Stormaple, Cpl Melon, Cpl Applechaser and Cpl Argo.
And a particular thank you to those stepping down or moving away from existing responsibilities, including 1Lt Aiedail, Capt WhiteWolf, MSP TomH, MSP Kevin, SPC Hrusi, Sgt Wombat, MSG Crossy, PFC Vanguard, SP1 MoooCow, SPC Vyqe and Cpl CarbonCarrot.
Some have held positions for a considerable period and put a huge amount into UNITAF and we thank them for that.
There is a lot to work through over the next few weeks. In the meantime, we still need to operate so if you hold responsibility today, please continue using it, keep things moving and make the sensible decisions that need to be made.
