Results of the 2025 UNITAF Summer Selection

First of all, thank you all for your interest and patience in the selection process. With holidays hitting us with full force, some conclusions took longer to land than expected, but we're now ready to officially declare the results of this year's summer selections.
We are very happy to announce that we have multiple new additions to the ORGCOC this time.
- In Personnel Command, Vanguard will be joining J2 Personnel.
- In Operations Command, Vyqe will move to J3 Operations, Ross will join J5 Loadouts, Roy Callaghan will join J8 Mods and TomH will join J9 Servers. With increased focus on the frequency and enjoyment of operations, strengthening these areas is an absolute necessity to ensure that the main powerhouse of the unit continues to operate well. Jenkins will also switch roles with Johnson in J5 and become the new NCOIC of loadouts.
- For Training Command, Ross will replace Vyqe in J6 Policy and Stormaple will join J7 Training. Ross and Stormaple will be crucial as we now transition towards FTS3.

We are aware that we have done some sign ups to join these teams previously. We have not forgotten and will be selecting shortly.
Get involved!
Remember our staff positions are there to be a point of contact and management for our efforts in all areas, but they can't do it alone. If you want to see progress in any area the best thing to do, if you can is to get involved. You can indicate which areas you'd like to contribute in through the monthly preferences system, but you can also contact any of the persons listed above in order to express your interest in the same. If you have applied to a position, either during the selection window or using the above feature, please contact the relevant staff group, or escalate to the Command Unit if you have not heard back, or would like to discuss it in more detail.
Regarding training team vacancies, please apply to the Staff Instructor for the Combat Area. Selection will take place over the remainder of July, closing on 31st.
Concluding remarks
We are now at a very interesting point in UNITAF history, with great energy coming from Operations Command and FTS3 coming into force soon. We are still mindful of the risk of burnout in key roles - not least among more prolific field leaders and game masters, we are aware of the current training system limitations and will to a large degree resolve those with FTS3, and of course the enjoyment of active members remains our top priority. With the current leadership as well as the new additions to ORGCOC, I am confident we will continue to build on the great legacy that UNITAF has accrued over the years.
Whilst most of the unit is not directly engaged with the administrative work in UNITAF, your perspectives, experiences and ideas do matter. Make therefore sure that you continue to suggest, think out loud in the relevant channels and engage yourselves in the future of UNITAF - that way we can ensure that we're building the future of MILSIM together.
